Kollam, March 31 (NationPress) The President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Nitin Nabin, launched a strong critique against the Left Democratic Front (LDF), led by CPI-M, and the United Democratic Front (UDF), spearheaded by Congress, branding them as 'match fixers'. He attributed the lack of progress in Kerala to their negligence in fostering development.

Nabin participated in a roadshow in Karunagappalli, Kerala, in anticipation of the Assembly elections scheduled for April 9.

In an interview with IANS, he claimed that both the current LDF administration and the former UDF government had failed to prioritize the state's developmental needs, accusing them of 'robbing the populace through collusion.'

He stated, 'For the past seven decades, the LDF and UDF have exploited the people through their shady dealings. They have interfered with the rich heritage and culture of Kerala, neglecting essential growth in welfare and infrastructure.'

Reaffirming his claims, Nabin remarked, 'Both LDF and UDF are colluding behind the scenes, and the electorate of Kerala is ready to hold them accountable in the upcoming elections.'

He pointed out that both parties have not done enough to enhance the state's hospitality and tourism sectors.

Furthermore, he raised concerns about migration from the state, stating, 'Kerala has long been recognized for its outstanding hospitality, which has now diminished under the LDF administration. Many residents are seeking employment in other states. The backwater tourism that once defined Kerala and contributed to its economic prosperity has also suffered due to the negligence of both LDF and UDF.'

Nabin also criticized senior leaders of the Opposition INDIA bloc for their silence regarding the 'disrespect shown to Hindu deities' across the nation.

He questioned Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi about the ongoing insults to Hindu deities, pointing out, 'The Congress, in alliance with DMK and leaders like MK Stalin, Tejashwi Yadav, and Akhilesh Yadav, have remained silent while these offenses occur.'

Regarding the Sabarimala issue, he noted, 'The Opposition INDIA bloc is merely engaging in vote politics among Hindus, with no genuine regard for the sentiments of the people.'

Confident about the BJP's prospects in the forthcoming state elections, Nabin asserted that the citizens of Kerala are inclined to view BJP as a viable alternative to both UDF and LDF administrations.

He expressed, 'As trust in the BJP has surged from a mere two percent to approximately 20 percent, we are optimistic that the electorate is ready to embrace BJP as a credible alternative.'

He concluded by stating, 'The benefits of a double-engine government will be evident in the state's development once BJP assumes power.'
