During the meeting at the Sankalp office, located at 01 Anne Marg, the Chief Minister summoned the DGP and ADG Headquarters alongside other senior police personnel.
He emphasized that there must be no negligence in the fight against crime.
CM Kumar warned that stringent action would be taken against any officials or staff exhibiting carelessness, and he insisted that investigations into criminal activities be concluded swiftly to ensure timely justice for victims.
At the meeting, DGP Vinay Kumar provided updates regarding the crime control strategies and the specifics surrounding the Khemka case.
Nitish Kumar sought comprehensive details about the attack, directing that those responsible be swiftly identified and punished without bias.
He also insisted on a thorough investigation should any conspiracy be uncovered.
An official from the Chief Minister's Office stated, “Maintaining law and order is the government's utmost priority. Criminals must face consequences regardless of circumstances.”
The Chief Minister highlighted the importance of the police and administrative bodies remaining vigilant to uphold law and order throughout Bihar.
On that fateful night, Gopal Khemka, the owner of Magadh Hospital, was shot dead by an unidentified assailant on a motorcycle near Gandhi Maidan, a prominent area in Patna.
The incident occurred approximately at 11:40 P.M. close to Panache Hotel, right as Khemka was exiting his vehicle near his home.
