Patna, July 14 (NationPress) In a significant move to bolster the startup ecosystem in Bihar, State Industry Minister Nitish Mishra officially launched the ‘Bihar Idea Festival Portal’ at Vikas Bhawan in Patna on Monday.
This innovative digital platform is designed to create a direct link between the state's youth, particularly girl students, startups, self-help groups, and entrepreneurs, with the various schemes offered by the Industry Department in Bihar.
The unveiling of the ‘Bihar Idea Festival Portal’ coincides with the final stage of the 'Bihar Idea Festival 2025', a two-day event currently taking place in Patna that has drawn a large audience.
This festival, which has been conducted across 24 districts so far, has gathered numerous business ideas from participants, with the Bihar government pledging support and investor connections valued at over Rs 50 crore for selected proposals.
Victors will have the chance to pitch for seed funding of up to Rs 10 lakh via the 'Start-up Bihar Policy'.
Sanjay Kumar Singh, the Secretary of the Industry Department, remarked that the portal will enable students and young individuals from any part of Bihar to easily submit their ideas and access government schemes.
“With this digital portal, youths or students from all corners of the state can now share their ideas and leverage the department’s schemes,” stated Sanjay Kumar Singh.
The launch event was graced by various dignitaries, including Khadi Director Mukul Gupta, Handicrafts and Silk Director Dr. Mihir Tripathi, startup incubation leaders, coordinators, and numerous startup founders.
While addressing the attendees, Minister Nitish Mishra emphasized that the portal represents a landmark for innovative thinking, a promising future, and self-reliance in Bihar, aligning with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s vision of transforming Bihar into a hub of innovation.
“Our aim is to establish Bihar as the capital of innovation through initiatives like this,” Nitish Mishra remarked to the participants.
