New Delhi, June 14 (NationPress) Labeling India as a "strong ally" of Israel and acknowledging the "constructive dialogue" with Iran, Israel's Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, indicated on Saturday that the possibility of Prime Minister Narendra Modi facilitating peace talks between Tehran and Jerusalem cannot be dismissed. This move aims to resolve the ongoing conflict in the turbulent region.
"We hold Prime Minister Modi in high regard. He is an exceptional leader who has significantly contributed to India's growth, and we do not overlook the potential for him to mediate," Azar stated in a exclusive interview with IANS, when asked about PM Modi's role in Israel-Iran peace negotiations.
Following the initiation of 'Operation Rising Lion'—a targeted military action intended "to mitigate the Iranian nuclear threat to Israel's survival"—Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reached out to top global leaders, including PM Modi, to update them on Israel's military actions against Iran.
