Patna, June 15 (NationPress) The Chief of the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) and former Bihar Minister, Mukesh Sahani, has come forward to support Lalu Prasad Yadav, the President of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), against accusations from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) claiming he disrespected B.R. Ambedkar.

While addressing the press in Buxar, Sahani asserted on Saturday that there is absolutely no room for disrespect, as both Lalu Yadav and the Mahagathbandhan are dedicated to honoring the principles of Ambedkar.

"We are devoted to realizing the visions of Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar despite facing challenges. Disrespecting him is unthinkable for us. Baba Saheb resides in our hearts, conversations, thoughts, and spirits," he declared.

In a rebuttal aimed at the BJP, Sahani accused Union Home Minister Amit Shah of having insulted Ambedkar during a session in Parliament when he remarked that "Ambedkar's name has turned into a trend."

"Those who lack genuine reverence for Baba Saheb are the true offenders," he stated.

Sahani's comments followed allegations from NDA leaders, including former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, former Bihar BJP President Sanjay Jaiswal, and JD-U National Spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan Singh, who claimed that Lalu Yadav had offended B.R. Ambedkar during the celebration of his 78th birthday on June 11.

The VIP Chief also rebuffed remarks made by Prashant Kishor, founder of the Jan Suraaj Party, who suggested that the Mahagathbandhan would secure fourth place in the upcoming Assembly elections later this year.

"A person who couldn't even contest for four seats is now discussing 243. The Mahagathbandhan stands united and is poised to regain power in the next elections," Sahani stated.

Earlier on the same day, Sahani visited the ancestral homes of martyrs Jaishankar Chaudhary and Sunil Singh in Buxar, where he paid respects to their families, laid floral tributes, and praised their sacrifices.

"A land that nurtures such heroes cannot be ordinary—it transforms into a legacy of sacrifice and bravery. Their sacrifices will eternally motivate future generations with a sense of duty and patriotism. The nation owes them a debt of gratitude," the VIP Chief remarked.
