Patna, Feb 13 (NationPress) Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad asserted on Thursday that he will prevent the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from establishing a government in Bihar as long as he remains active in the state's political arena.
In a media interaction in Patna, Lalu Prasad stated, "How can the BJP form a government in Bihar while we are present? We will not permit the BJP to take charge in Bihar."
In reaction to Lalu Prasad's claims, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha expressed confidence that the NDA, of which the BJP is a member, will reclaim power in the state.
"It is uncertain whether Lalu Prasad will remain, but the NDA is guaranteed to form the government here," Deputy CM Sinha remarked.
Further criticizing the RJD figure, he said, "Lalu Prasad has transformed the term 'Bihari' into an insult, incited caste divisions, and fostered discord among people. We no longer need figures like him."
As the Bihar Assembly elections draw near, the political climate is heating up between the ruling NDA and the opposition parties.
Both factions are engaging in fierce verbal exchanges and strategic maneuvers to solidify their voter bases.
Lalu Prasad's comments indicate a determined opposition stance against the NDA, as the RJD and its partners prepare for the electoral contest.
Simultaneously, the BJP and its allies are also developing their plans to maintain control in the state.
The upcoming months are set to witness increased political activity in Bihar as parties gear up for the pivotal elections.
While Lalu Prasad continues to be a significant figure in the state's politics, the BJP-led NDA remains optimistic about achieving victory.
