New Delhi, Dec 28 (NationPress) Senior Congress figure Digvijaya Singh asserted on Sunday that there is no political intent behind his "BJP-RSS" post. Meanwhile, Shashi Tharoor, MP for Thiruvananthapuram, expressed strong support for Singh's proposal to bolster the integrity of the venerable party through discipline.
“I also desire for our organization to grow stronger, and it is sensible to maintain discipline within the party,” Tharoor informed reporters.
When asked for his thoughts on Singh's post on X, Tharoor remarked, “Digvijaya Singh is the appropriate person to explain this. He can provide further details.”
On Sunday, Singh told IANS, “There is no need to react to my post on X as it is not political.”
He added, “Their (BJP) politics has always revolved around division. This is a family (Nehru-Gandhi) that has seen two of its members become martyrs; thus, divisions among them are impossible, regardless of attempts.”
Singh stirred controversy on Saturday with a social media post featuring a 1996 photograph, stating that the BJP-RSS allows grassroots workers to ascend to top positions such as chief minister and prime minister.
