Bhubaneswar, March 10 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi, expressed his heartfelt thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for the green light on the new Amrit Bharat train services connecting Podanur (Coimbatore) and Dhanbad (Jharkhand), which will traverse through Rayagada, Muniguda, Kesinga, Titlagarh, Balangir, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, and Rourkela in Odisha.

CM Majhi pointed out that these new Amrit Bharat train services will significantly enhance railway connectivity within Odisha.

He highlighted that this initiative is poised to strengthen regional connectivity and spur economic growth in Odisha.

“With stops at Rayagada, Muniguda, Kesinga, Titlagarh, Balangir, Bargarh Road, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, and Rourkela, this service will serve seven districts in southern and western Odisha, including the Kalahandi-Balangir-Koraput area. It will also link key cities in Tamil Nadu like Coimbatore, Tiruppur, and Salem, as well as important industrial hubs in Jharkhand such as Ranchi, Bokaro, and Dhanbad, fostering economic and social connections,” noted CM Majhi.

Additionally, he remarked that this initiative underscores the Central government's ongoing dedication to bolstering railway infrastructure and promoting development in Odisha.

CM Majhi added that the Union government is committed to enhancing convenience and creating new opportunities for the people of Odisha.

In a letter to CM Majhi, Union Minister Vaishnaw informed him about the approval for the new Amrit Bharat train services.

“Please refer to our previous discussions about the introduction of new train services connecting various regions of Odisha with Tamil Nadu and Jharkhand for public convenience. I am pleased to inform you that the new Amrit Bharat train service between Podanur (Coimbatore) and Dhanbad via Rayagada, Muniguda, Kesinga, Titlagarh, Balangir, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, and Rourkela has received approval,” stated the Union Minister.

This new Amrit Bharat train service between Podanur (Coimbatore) and Dhanbad will offer substantial benefits to passengers from western and southern Odisha.
