On his social media platform, CM Majhi expressed, “This progressive and inclusive budget opens new avenues for youth, provides security for farmers, incentives for entrepreneurs, relief for the middle class, and recognition for workers. It is designed to foster innovation, manufacturing, and employment while bolstering agriculture, rural development, infrastructure, tourism, culture, and knowledge traditions, thereby embracing the mantra of Development with Heritage.
Regarding the announcement of a ‘Rare Earth Corridor’ in Odisha within the Union Budget, the CM noted that this pivotal move will enhance mineral processing, research, and high-technology manufacturing in the state. “For Odisha, the establishment of the ‘Rare Earth Corridor’ will propel mineral processing, research, and high-technology manufacturing. The activation of National Waterway-5 (NW-5) will link mineral-rich and industrial areas to ports, facilitating cost-effective and environmentally sustainable transport, while skill development centres along the waterway will prepare local youth for training and employment opportunities,” added Majhi.
He further emphasized that conservation-focused tourism initiatives, such as ‘Turtle Trails’ and mountain trails in the Eastern Ghats, will help safeguard biodiversity, empower local communities, and position Odisha as a premier destination for nature and adventure tourism.
“Support for MSMEs, startups, and indigenous production reinforces the pillars of an ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’. Through social justice, inclusive development, and good governance, this budget lays the groundwork for India's present and future growth. I extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Hon’ble Prime Minister and sincere thanks to the Hon’ble Finance Minister for this visionary and welfare-oriented budget,” remarked Majhi.
