Bhubaneswar, Jan 29 (NationPress) The Odisha government has made the decision to establish an exclusive industrial park aimed at supporting and empowering women entrepreneurs within the state.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced this during his speech at the special Women’s Business Leaders Round Table at the 'Utkarsa Odisha-2025 Conclave' held at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar.

The government is also set to launch a Special Cell within the Industrial Promotion & Investment Corporation of Odisha Limited (IPICOL) to facilitate assistance and opportunities for businesses led by women.

IPICOL acts as the State Level Nodal Agency (SLNA) under the Industries Department, responsible for creating strategies for investment promotion, facilitation, and aftercare in Odisha.

"To nurture and support women entrepreneurs, our government has resolved to create an Exclusive Industrial Park for Women and a Special Cell in IPICOL to provide assistance and opportunities for women-led businesses," he stated.

He emphasized that this initiative represents a pivotal move towards fostering a more inclusive and sustainable business ecosystem, enabling women to flourish and contribute to the economic growth of Odisha.

The Chief Minister expressed optimism that these initiatives would inspire women to establish their own enterprises.

He also encouraged the gathering to provide suggestions on enhancing women's participation in business. Furthermore, he disclosed that the government plans to invest in specialized programs aimed at equipping women with the necessary skills and knowledge for entrepreneurial success in the coming years.

“We will partner with universities and business schools to provide scholarships, internships, and leadership programs that offer both economic and practical business experiences,” he added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the two-day business summit, 'Utkarsa Odisha-Make in Odisha -2025 Conclave', which is the flagship Global Investment Summit organized by the Odisha government from January 28 to 29 in Bhubaneswar.

PM Modi invited the business leaders present at the summit, stating, "This is the optimal moment to invest in Odisha. Your investment in Odisha will propel you to new heights of success in this journey of development for the state. This is Modi’s guarantee.”
