Jaipur, April 24 (NationPress) Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed on Thursday that the nation will seek revenge for every drop of blood spilled in Pahalgam, where terrorists took the lives of 26 tourists, including Neeraj Udhwani (33) from Jaipur.

CM Sharma paid his respects with floral tributes to Udhwani's remains, which arrived in the city late Wednesday night.

“This is a devastating tragedy. Those responsible for this despicable crime will face justice,” CM Sharma declared.

“The entire country is united in its grief and anger. We will ensure that every drop of blood lost in this attack is avenged,” he stated.

The incident has ignited widespread outrage, demanding more stringent measures to combat terrorism.

“The public is extremely distressed and furious. Significant decisions have already been taken, and even more stringent ones will come if required,” CM Sharma noted.

“In light of security concerns, we have implemented tough measures. The Indus Water Treaty has been suspended. This is essential... The feelings of our citizens must be honored, and national security remains our top priority,” he added.

Many gathered to pay their last respects, forming long lines outside Neeraj Udhwani's residence, where he was tragically shot by terrorists in Pahalgam.

Offering condolences, an official remarked, “I pray for strength and support for Neeraj’s family during this unimaginable time of sorrow.”

Udhwani’s final rites will take place at the Jhalana crematorium in Jaipur, with state leaders and local residents showing their solidarity.

The nation continues to mourn the loss of this innocent life to terrorism and stands resolute against such cowardly acts. Strong reactions have surfaced from across the state and the country, with leaders and citizens condemning the attack as a barbaric act that has deeply shaken the nation.
