New Delhi, May 9 (NationPress) The Central Government, while addressing the public regarding Pakistan’s ongoing airspace violations after the dismantling of terrorist facilities within its territory, disclosed on Friday that the adjacent country was utilizing civilian aircraft as 'protection' and did not even close its civil airspace during its assault on India.
“Pakistan's reckless conduct has once again been highlighted. It failed to shut its civil airspace even after executing a failed unprovoked drone and missile assault on May 7 at 8:30 p.m.,” stated Wing Commander Vyomika Singh during a specialized briefing on Operation Sindoor.
“Pakistan is employing civilian airliners as a shield, fully aware that its aggression towards India would provoke a rapid air defense reaction,” she added.
Colonel Sofiya Qureshi presented a printout of flight-tracking information from the time of the drone strike.
She noted that the Indian airspace had no civil air traffic due to its declared closure, yet civilian flights continued to operate on the route between Karachi and Lahore.
