Amaravati, March 25 (NationPress) A pastor was discovered dead under suspicious circumstances in the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday.
The lifeless body of Praveen Pagadala was located beside his motorbike along the roadside at Kondamuru, close to Rajahmundry.
This incident has incited unrest near the Government Hospital in Rajahmundry, where family members and local Christian groups protested, demanding a comprehensive investigation into the matter.
Pagadala had participated in a church event in Kovvur on Monday night before departing for Rajahmundry on his Royal Enfield motorcycle. He was seen wearing a helmet and was recorded on CCTV near a toll plaza in Kovvur.
His body was discovered beside his motorcycle early Tuesday morning at Kondamuru.
There was a tense atmosphere at the Rajahmundry Government Hospital upon the arrival of his body for an autopsy. Family members and followers contended that he was murdered and that the situation was staged to resemble an accident, calling for a thorough investigation.
Pagadala was also recognized for his discussions on the Christian satellite network Calvary TV. A month prior, he had allegedly stated on social media that he felt his life was in jeopardy.
Friends of Pagadala mentioned that there were no indications of a road accident at the location where he was found deceased. They highlighted that there were no signs of collision on his vehicle, which was undamaged, and his helmet remained intact. Allegations surfaced that an individual had publicly threatened Pagadala's life without any security being provided to him.
