Patna, Jan 16 (NationPress) In a significant move, Patna District Magistrate Thiyagarajan S.M. has terminated the service of revenue employee Raja Kumar with immediate effect due to allegations of corruption.

This dismissal has sparked considerable reactions within the department. The Vigilance Department is actively conducting a campaign against corrupt officials and employees involved in bribery.

At the time of his dismissal, Raja Kumar was stationed at the Masaurhi Circle Office and was already under suspension.

On December 23, 2025, he was apprehended by a raid team from the Vigilance Department at the Masaurhi Block Office.

He faced serious accusations, including arbitrary actions, intentional delays in mutation and land record corrections, and soliciting improper monetary demands from applicants.

Following his arrest, a charge-sheet was prepared and submitted by the Circle Officer of Masaurhi.

The District Magistrate confirmed that proper disciplinary proceedings were carried out against the accused.

An Additional Collector from Patna was appointed as the Inquiry Officer, and the Circle Officer from Masaurhi acted as the Presenting Officer.

Upon concluding the inquiry, all charges against Raja Kumar were found to be fully corroborated.

The District Magistrate emphasized that the accusations were severe and that Raja Kumar's behavior breached the Bihar Service Code.

“Despite being granted ample opportunity to defend himself, the accused failed to provide any credible justification,” Thiyagarajan noted in a formal statement.

Furthermore, the District Magistrate indicated that Raja Kumar's retention in service was contrary to public interest.

As a result, he has been dismissed from service immediately under the Bihar Government Servants (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 2005.

Reaffirming the state government's position, the Patna District Magistrate stated that there is a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding corruption, which is rigorously upheld by the district administration.

“Any form of corruption, negligence, laxity, or irregularities in the execution of official duties will be met with strict action,” the District Magistrate declared.
