He praised their remarkable accomplishments, asserting that they are instrumental in shaping India's trajectory through their determination, creativity, and unmatched zeal, which in turn fortifies the collective aspiration for a Viksit Bharat.

"On this International Women's Day, I express my best wishes to every Nari Shakti. Women, in every sphere, are steering India's growth with an unwavering spirit, innovation, and unparalleled enthusiasm. Their success stories serve as a source of inspiration for our nation and bolster our shared commitment to realize a Viksit Bharat," PM Modi stated in a message shared on X.

The Prime Minister further emphasized that the empowerment of women lies at the heart of various governmental schemes and initiatives. He reiterated the government's dedication to fostering opportunities that allow every woman to unlock her full potential and play a significant role in the nation's developmental journey.

He also highlighted a thread from MyGovIndia, the official X account of the Indian government, which celebrated the remarkable achievements of Nari Shakti, emphasizing that India's "New Naris are powering a New India."

This thread illustrated how women are leading the charge in diverse sectors including defense, startups, science, governance, and social progress, showcasing their courage, leadership, and determination.

In terms of women's contributions to the defense sector, the government reported, "India's daughters are stepping forward to serve the nation. From girls gearing up to don uniforms in Sainik Schools to the first-ever female batch graduating from the NDA, the journey has commenced. With a 7X increase in women officers, and pioneers such as Shivangi Singh becoming the country's first woman Rafale fighter pilot, Nari Shakti is reinforcing our armed forces."

Moreover, the government acknowledged that women entrepreneurs are making significant strides within the startup ecosystem. Initiatives like Startup India and Stand Up India are actively empowering women-led businesses to flourish and innovate.

"Almost 50% of startups now feature women directors, six out of ten MUDRA loans are granted to women entrepreneurs, and women-co-founded tech startups amassed $1.1 billion in 2025," the post elaborated.

The government also highlighted advancements made by women in science and technology, along with their role in empowering communities through enterprise. Additionally, it stated that women are enhancing grassroots democratic leadership.

Moreover, the post mentioned the Central Government's efforts to improve maternal health for mothers. "Close to 90% of deliveries now occur safely in healthcare facilities, while 7.16 crore checkups have successfully identified millions of high-risk pregnancies. With maternity benefits reaching nearly 8.7 crore mothers and a significant decline in maternal mortality, women's health outcomes are on the rise," it added.
