Patna, Oct 30 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Thursday, launched a pointed counteroffensive against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the Grand Alliance (RJD–Congress), asserting that their remarks -- including Gandhi's statement that "PM Modi can dance for votes" -- were not merely personal attacks but indicative of profound internal strife within the Opposition.

Speaking at a large election rally in Bihar's Chhapra, PM Modi stated, "The true news of this election is not the insults directed at me, but the conflict between the RJD and the Congress. Their relationship resembles oil and water. Reports from all over Bihar indicate that RJD supporters are tearing down Congress posters, while Congress members are showing resentment towards the RJD. Their only commonality is a hunger for power."

The Prime Minister accused both the RJD and Congress of having failed Bihar during their time in power.

"The RJD and Congress will never be able to advance Bihar. These parties governed the state for years but only deceived its citizens," PM Modi remarked.

Referring to crime incidents during the RJD rule, he brought up the 1998 Champa Biswas case, stating it epitomized the lawlessness of that time.

"What occurred to the wife of a Dalit IAS officer in 1998 will send chills down the spines of today's youth. She wrote to the Bihar Governor about how RJD thugs tormented her and her family. Even the Chief Minister's office had become a hub for criminals during that period," PM Modi added.

Addressing new voters, the Prime Minister encouraged them to cast their ballots.

"Your parents' votes once liberated Bihar from Jungle Raj and brought about good governance. Now, it's your turn to transform good governance into prosperity with your single vote," he urged.

The Prime Minister accused Congress of consistently showing disrespect to Bihar and its citizens nationwide.

"Congress leaders in Karnataka insult Bihar, DMK leaders in Tamil Nadu mistreat Biharis, and yet the RJD remains mute. A former Congress Chief Minister of Punjab even stated he would not allow Biharis into his state -- at that moment, a member of the Gandhi family, now in Parliament, was applauding in approval," PM Modi remarked.

Highlighting Bihar's rich cultural and spiritual heritage, the Prime Minister commended Bhojpuri legend Bhikari Thakur and the Chhath Mahaparv, calling them symbols of Bihar's resilient spirit.

"This land embodies faith, art, and revolution. Bhikari Thakur captured the essence and struggles of this soil in his songs. The Chhath Mahaparv is the pride of Bihar and our nation — a festival that honors devotion, equality, and social harmony," PM Modi declared.

"We are working to have Chhath Mahaparv included in UNESCO's World Heritage list as a festival of humanity."

PM Modi accused the RJD–Congress alliance of belittling the festival and its observers.

"For the Congress and RJD, the veneration of Chhathi Maiya is a joke. They ridicule women who fast for days and offer Arghya to the Sun God in the Ganges. Will the mothers and sisters of Bihar endure this insult? I know they will never forget it," he stated.

Reflecting on his recent international visit, PM Modi shared that Bihar's cultural influence has reached global shores.

"A few months ago, during my trip to Trinidad and Tobago, I felt as though I was on the ghats of Varanasi and Chhapra. The people there welcomed us in Bhojpuri -- a proud moment for every Bihari," he added.

On the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, PM Modi accused the Opposition of duplicity.

"After a 500-year wait, the magnificent Ram Temple has been constructed. Millions have visited for darshan, but have you ever seen Congress or RJD leaders in Ayodhya? They fear their appeasement politics will be compromised. Those who cannot honor faith cannot develop places of worship," the Prime Minister concluded.
