Jaipur, Sep 21 (NationPress) Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated on Sunday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has significantly altered the nation's perspective on disability by substituting the term 'Viklang' with 'Divyang'.
While addressing the ceremony for laying the foundation stone of new educational facilities at Shri Parsmal Bohra Blind College in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, Minister Shah commended the initiatives undertaken under the Prime Minister's guidance to empower individuals with disabilities.
He initiated the construction of three new structures at the college, including a college building, a boys' hostel, and a girls' hostel, with a total investment of nearly Rs 15 crore.

Furthermore, over 3.1 million people received artificial limbs through 18,000 camps in the last decade, compared to just seven lakh beneficiaries before 2014.'
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma remarked that Union Minister Amit Shah has played a pivotal role in redefining India's security and justice frameworks, referencing the removal of Article 370, the establishment of new criminal laws, and the Citizenship Amendment Act.
