New Delhi, Feb 10 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Paris, the capital of France, to co-chair the much-awaited AI Action Summit with French President Emmanuel Macron.

The Prime Minister touched down at Orly Airport in Paris.

This summit will convene global leaders and technology executives to deliberate on the future of Artificial Intelligence (AI), emphasizing innovation and ethical practices.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has indicated that PM Modi's itinerary will also feature pivotal bilateral discussions with President Macron.

"The Prime Minister will engage in discussions with President Macron, during which they will unveil several significant initiatives aimed at further enhancing the India-France strategic partnership," the MEA remarked.

Prior to his departure, PM Modi outlined essential aspects of his visit that are expected to bolster India's global relationships and spotlight crucial areas for international collaboration.

"At the invitation of President Macron, I will be in France from February 10 to 12. In Paris, I eagerly anticipate co-chairing the AI Action Summit, a notable assembly of world leaders and global tech executives. Our discussions will concentrate on fostering a united approach to Artificial Intelligence, aimed at promoting innovation and ensuring this potent technology serves the public good in a secure, inclusive, and trustworthy manner,” he stated.

The Prime Minister also underscored the bilateral aspect of his journey.

"Engaging with President Macron will enable us to evaluate the advancements made under the 2047 Horizon Roadmap, a comprehensive strategy to deepen the India-France strategic partnership," PM Modi expressed.

“We will also make a visit to the historic city of Marseille, where I will inaugurate India’s inaugural Consulate in France. Furthermore, I look forward to visiting the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER), a key project aiming to harness fusion energy for global welfare, wherein India plays a crucial role in the consortium.

During this visit, PM Modi will also honor the Indian soldiers who lost their lives during the World Wars at the Mazargues War Cemetery in Marseille, highlighting the enduring connection between India and France.

Following his engagements in Europe, PM Modi will head to the U.S. for a two-day visit, aimed at strengthening India-U.S. relations under the leadership of President Donald Trump.

“I look forward to meeting my friend, President Trump. While this will be our first meeting since his recent re-election, I fondly remember the progress we made during his first term in building a Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership between our nations,” he stated.

Looking forward, PM Modi emphasized the significance of his upcoming U.S. visit, noting it as a unique chance to build on their previous successful collaborations.

“This trip will prioritize developing a forward-looking agenda to deepen our partnership, especially in critical sectors like technology, trade, defense, energy, and supply chain resilience.
