Paris, Feb 11 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday expressed that to capitalize on the momentum of the AI Action Summit held here, India would be delighted to host the upcoming Summit.

During his final remarks, PM Modi highlighted that today’s discussions revealed a shared vision and purpose among all stakeholders.

"I applaud the establishment of the AI Foundation and the Council for Sustainable AI," the Prime Minister remarked.

"I extend my congratulations to France and my esteemed friend President Emmanuel Macron for these initiatives, and I assure our complete support," he continued.

PM Modi proposed that the Global Partnership for AI should truly be global in scope, emphasizing the need for inclusivity of the Global South and its priorities.

Earlier, PM Modi stated that India is actively developing AI applications for the public benefit and boasts one of the world’s largest pools of AI talent.

He further expressed that the nation is prepared to share its insights and skills to ensure that the "AI future is for Good, and for All."

PM Modi also mentioned that India is in the process of creating its own large language model (LLM) while considering its diversity. "We have a distinctive public-private partnership model that pools resources like computing power, making it accessible to our start-ups and researchers at affordable rates," he informed.

He emphasized that while the positive possibilities of AI are astonishing, there are significant biases that require careful consideration.

"We must create high-quality data sets that are free from biases. We need to democratize technology and develop applications centered around people. Moreover, we must tackle issues related to cyber security, disinformation, and deepfakes. Lastly, we need to ensure that technology is embedded within local ecosystems to achieve its effectiveness and utility," PM Modi stressed.

AI is advancing at an unparalleled scale and speed, with adoption and deployment occurring even more rapidly. There is a profound interdependence that transcends borders.
