New Delhi, Feb 19 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the India AI Impact Summit 2026 on Thursday at New Delhi's Bharat Mandapam, marking the official start of one of the largest international events dedicated to artificial intelligence.

As per the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the ceremony will commence at approximately 9:40 a.m., with Modi slated to address attendees at around 10:25 a.m.

The opening session will also include speeches from French President Emmanuel Macron and United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, along with several prominent leaders from the global tech and industry sectors.

Prior to the ceremony, Prime Minister Modi will greet participating world leaders at Bharat Mandapam, with a family photo session scheduled for around 9:15 a.m.

After the inauguration, the Prime Minister will tour the India AI Impact Expo at around 11 a.m., joined by other international dignitaries.

The expo will showcase country-specific pavilions featuring cutting-edge AI innovations and emerging technologies from around the world.

At noon, the Prime Minister will engage in the Leaders’ Plenary session, gathering Heads of State, ministers, and senior representatives from multilateral organizations.

Discussions during this session are expected to concentrate on establishing national and global priorities in artificial intelligence, including governance frameworks, infrastructure development, and collaborative efforts.

Later in the day, starting at 5:30 p.m., Modi will participate in a CEO Roundtable, which will bring together leading executives from major global tech firms alongside senior government officials.

This interaction is anticipated to focus on investment opportunities, research collaborations, resilient supply chains, and the large-scale implementation of AI systems across various sectors.

The India AI Impact Summit 2026 aims to develop collaborative strategies for leveraging the transformative capabilities of artificial intelligence while promoting innovation, responsible governance, and international partnerships.

This summit has convened global leaders, policymakers, and tech experts to discuss the transformative impact of artificial intelligence in driving economic progress, enhancing governance, and accelerating social development.

The event seeks to harmonize global AI initiatives with India's civilizational ethos of 'Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhaya' (welfare for all, happiness for all) while endorsing the broader principle of AI for Humanity.

The India AI Impact Summit 2026 marks the fourth iteration in this series, succeeding previous gatherings held in the United Kingdom in 2023, South Korea in 2024, and France in 2025.

This platform empowers leaders to scrutinize the ethical, economic, and social ramifications of artificial intelligence while reinforcing partnerships in digital technology, trade, culture, tourism, and maritime cooperation.
