He pointed out that AI is revolutionizing various sectors, such as healthcare, education, agriculture, and governance.
“Currently, AI is making significant changes across numerous sectors, including healthcare, education, agriculture, governance, and enterprise. The AI Impact Summit is set to enhance global discussions on various aspects of AI, including innovation, collaboration, responsible deployment, and more. I am optimistic that the summit's results will contribute to a future that is progressive, innovative, and filled with opportunities,” PM Modi remarked.
Furthermore, PM Modi asserted that India is leading the charge in the AI transformation, fueled by the efforts of its 1.4 billion citizens.
“Thanks to the spirit of our 1.4 billion people, India is at the forefront of the AI transformation. From digital public infrastructure to a flourishing startup ecosystem and cutting-edge research, our advancements in AI embody both ambition and responsibility,” PM Modi added.
On Monday, PM Modi will formally open the India AI Impact Expo 2026 at Bharat Mandapam.
This Expo will take place from February 16 to 20, coinciding with the India AI Impact Summit, at the same location. Spanning over 10 arenas across more than 70,000 square meters, it aims to unite global tech firms, startups, academia, research institutions, union ministries, state governments, and international collaborators.
The event will showcase 13 country pavilions, highlighting international cooperation within the AI ecosystem. These pavilions will represent countries including Australia, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Serbia, Estonia, Tajikistan, and various African nations.
With over 300 curated exhibition pavilions and live demonstrations structured around three thematic areas - People, Planet, and Progress, the Expo will also highlight over 600 high-potential startups, many of which are developing globally relevant solutions on a population scale. These startups will present functioning solutions already implemented in real-world contexts.
The India AI Impact Expo 2026 anticipates over 250,000 visitors, including international delegates. The aim is to foster new partnerships and create business opportunities within the global AI landscape.
In total, more than 500 sessions will be organized, featuring over 3,250 visionary speakers and panel members. These discussions will focus on recognizing the transformative influence of AI across various sectors and deliberating on future actions to ensure AI's benefits reach every global citizen.
“The Expo will stand as a national showcase of AI in action, where policy aligns with practice, innovation meets scale, and technology connects with everyday citizens,” an official statement conveyed.
