The Expo coincides with the India AI Impact Summit, marking the first major global AI assembly in the Global South, featuring an impressive turnout of over 20 heads of state, 60 ministers, and 500 global AI leaders.
Uniting policymakers, tech companies, innovators, academia, and industry stakeholders, the Summit aims to convert global discussions on AI into actionable development outcomes under the IndiaAI Mission and the Digital India initiative.
On February 19, the Prime Minister will deliver the inaugural address, establishing the framework for enhanced international collaboration and promoting India’s vision for inclusive, trustworthy, and development-focused artificial intelligence.
The India AI Impact Summit 2026 is dedicated to fostering an impact-driven and people-centric approach to AI, prioritizing measurable social and economic outcomes.
The summit is built on three foundational pillars, referred to as ‘Sutras’—a Sanskrit term denoting guiding principles. These Sutras outline how AI can be utilized through multilateral cooperation for collective benefits.
A significant feature of the summit is the launch of three flagship Global Impact Challenges: AI for ALL, AI by HER, and YUVAi, aimed at identifying scalable, development-focused AI solutions that align with national priorities.
These challenges have attracted over 4,650 applications from more than 60 nations, showcasing robust global engagement and interest in innovation.
