New Delhi, Dec 29 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to officially launch the India AI Impact Summit and interact with international technology leaders during this prestigious event, which will take place from February 15 to February 20, as announced by S Krishnan, Secretary of the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
As part of the summit itinerary, the Prime Minister will also organize a gala dinner for the visiting tech dignitaries.
According to senior government officials, numerous renowned global CEOs have confirmed their attendance.
Notable figures include Bill Gates, Dario Amodei, Demis Hassabis, Shantanu Narayen, and Marc Benioff. Jensen Huang is also anticipated to participate, as stated by officials.
India has officially invited China to join in the summit, with Krishnan highlighting that the invitation aims to position the event as a global platform for the concept of “democratizing AI.”
The summit is projected to attract participants from over 100 countries, with invitations dispatched to around 140 nations.
“More than 100 AI leaders, including CEOs, CXOs, and chief scientists, are expected to attend the primary sessions,” he noted.
Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the AI Impact Expo on February 16. He will host a gala dinner for global technology leaders on February 18.
The formal opening ceremony for the summit is slated for February 19, during which the Prime Minister is also expected to participate in a leaders’ plenary session and a CEO roundtable.
A ministerial meeting of the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence is scheduled for February 20, uniting policymakers from various nations.
Other confirmed attendees include Cristiano Amon and Raj Subramaniam, along with numerous global technology founders and scholars.
Krishnan mentioned that over 50 CEOs and founders, as well as more than 100 senior academics, have confirmed their presence.
Leading up to the main summit, an innovation festival will commence on February 15 at Central Park in Connaught Place.
This public event will highlight innovative and social applications of artificial intelligence. During the summit week, approximately 800 parallel AI-related events are anticipated to occur across the nation.
The government is expecting more than 150,000 people to participate in events associated with the summit, including the expo.
