New Delhi, Oct 2 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday praised Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat's centenary Dussehra address, describing it as an inspiring speech that underscores the organisation's contributions to nation-building.

"An inspiring address by Param Pujya Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat Ji, highlighting the rich contributions of the RSS to nation-building and emphasising the innate potential of our land to attain new heights of glory, thereby benefiting our entire planet," PM Modi wrote in a post on X.

During the centenary celebrations held at Nagpur's historic Reshimbagh grounds, Bhagwat articulated the vision and objectives of the Sangh in shaping the nation's character. He called upon society to create role models capable of inspiring fellow citizens towards India's progress.

He pointed out that for Bharat to rise as a superpower, both individual and national character must be fortified.

Discussing the role of Sangh Shakhas, Bhagwat stated that they cultivate national identity and pride through daily programs that promote values and discipline.

He highlighted that during this centenary year, the RSS aims to broaden its efforts in 'Vyakti Nirman' (character building) throughout the nation, with the 'Panch Parivartan' initiative being embraced by all sections of society through the examples set by Swayamsevaks.

The 'Panch Parivartan' principles, he explained, focus on social harmony, preservation of family values, environmental protection, selfhood and self-reliance, as well as adherence to legal, civic, and constitutional duties.

Bhagwat also expressed concern over the increasing instability in neighboring nations, mentioning regime changes in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal, driven by widespread public discontent. He warned that such developments necessitate vigilance and self-reflection within India.

Encouraging society to contribute to India's prosperity through collective effort, Bhagwat emphasized the role of Hindu society in upholding the principle of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' (the world is one family).

"Hindu society is the upholder and guardian of this noble idea. It is our duty to make Bharat prosperous and capable of contributing immensely to the world," he remarked.

"The Sangh has been working to organize Hindu society, which, through its collective strength and adherence to Dharma, can offer a new path to the world and make Bharat prosperous," Bhagwat added.

He pointed out that an organized society, rooted in unity and strength, can fulfill its responsibilities without external support.
