He highlighted the worldwide acknowledgment of the International Day of Yoga, established by the United Nations, crediting PM Modi with this achievement. Under his guidance, Yoga Day is now celebrated at over 1.2 million locations across 175 nations, engaging 100 million participants globally.

Speaking at the 11th International Day of Yoga events, Naidu participated alongside the Prime Minister, key ministers, the Governor, and others in the Common Yoga Protocol.

Naidu commended PM Modi for popularizing Yoga not only in India but around the globe.

“Yoga is embraced by individuals regardless of nationality, region, religion, or language. It fosters a union of body, mind, and spirit, promoting physical and mental well-being, stress relief, immunity enhancement, self-confidence, personal growth, mindfulness, inner tranquility, and holistic wellness. This ultimately leads to a reduction in violence and the advancement of peace,” Naidu articulated.

He remarked that advancements in technology, such as Artificial Intelligence, have made Yoga more inclusive and accessible to diverse populations.

Naidu expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for allowing Andhra Pradesh to host this historic event, where more than 300,000 participants engaged in a yoga session along a 28-km route from Visakhapatnam to Bhogapuram.

During the month-long ‘Yogandhra’ initiative, over 144,000 yoga instructors were trained, with more than 21.7 million participants registered across 140,000 locations. He announced that 17 million certificates are being distributed.

Additionally, 22,122 tribal students set a Guinness World Record by performing 'surya namaskar' simultaneously in Visakhapatnam on Friday.

Naidu expressed his delight over global competitions focused on various aspects of yoga, mentioning the upcoming Yoga Super League in September.

He urged the Prime Minister to leverage his influence to include Yoga in the Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, and ultimately the Olympic Games, stating that PM Modi can shatter records and create history.

“Yoga has gained tremendous traction. We must ensure that it becomes an integral part of our lives,” Naidu encouraged, urging youth to practice Yoga for one hour daily.

“The youth should view Yoga not merely as exercise but as a vital tool for enhancing focus, discipline, and creativity in an ever-evolving digital landscape. Consistent practice can lead to remarkable transformations in their lives,” he stated.

With a vision for a healthy, prosperous, and joyful Andhra Pradesh, Naidu affirmed that this aligns with the broader goal of a Viksit Bharat.

He noted PM Modi's revival of Yoga, Naturopathy, Ayurveda, and his promotion of green energy, Swachh Bharat, and natural farming, indicating that his vision extends beyond a healthy global community to encompass a healthy planet as well.
