New Delhi, June 13 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who visited the site of the Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crash and met with the injured at a hospital in Ahmedabad on Friday, expressed that the loss of so many lives in such a tragic manner was truly beyond words.
The crash, marking one of the most severe air tragedies in recent history, resulted in the death of 241 individuals and numerous others on the ground where the unfortunate plane went down on Thursday.
“We are all devastated by the air tragedy in Ahmedabad. The loss of so many lives in such a sudden and heartbreaking manner is beyond expression. My deepest condolences to all the grieving families. We empathize with their pain, and the void left behind will resonate for years to come. Om Shanti,” PM Modi shared on his X handle following his visits to the crash site and the hospital.
Earlier that day, he arrived at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Airport and proceeded directly to the crash site in the Meghaninagar area, accompanied by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, and Union Minister C.R. Paatil.
