Previously, during his speech at the Red Fort, he remarked that a developed India signifies both growth and roots. “An India that will not waver, an India that will ascend yet remain connected to its essence,” he added.

He expressed concern over the gradual disappearance of significant texts, announcing the launch of the 'Gyan Bharatam Mission', which was included in this year’s budget. This initiative aims to conduct a survey of millions of manuscripts across the nation, aiming to digitize ancient heritage and bridge antiquity with modernity.

PM Modi referred to this mission as an Amrit Sankalp in its own right, stating, “New India will harness possibilities through AI and illuminate the world with spirituality.”

He emphasized that Jainism encourages self-conquest. “The Navkar Mantra inspires self-belief. The true adversary is not external, but internal. Overcoming negative thoughts, dishonesty, and selfishness constitutes the essence of victory,” he noted.

During the event, PM Modi united with others to chant the sacred Jain mantra, 'Navkar Mahamantra'.

He expressed joy in participating in the Navkar Mahamantra Divas program, stating, “Let’s all chant the Navkar Mahamantra… May every voice resonate with peace, strength, and harmony. Let us unite to foster brotherhood and unity.”

“The Navkar Mahamantra transcends mere spirituality; it is central to our faith… It provides guidance from the self to society,” he added. “The mantra encourages self-belief, as the true enemy lies within. Overcoming negative thought patterns and selfishness signifies true victory. Jainism teaches us to conquer ourselves.”

PM Modi highlighted the influence of Jainism in the new Parliament building, noting the presence of an idol of Tirthankara at the Lok Sabha entrance, which returned from Australia, along with a magnificent painting of Lord Mahavir in the Constitution Hall, featuring all 24 Tirthankaras on the wall.

The Navkar Mahamantra Divas precedes Mahavir Jayanti, celebrated on April 10 this year, marking the birth anniversary of Lord Mahavir, the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism, who was born in 615 BC.
