Did PM Modi Come for a 'Darshan' of Our Heroes?

New Delhi, May 13 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Adampur Airbase in Punjab on Tuesday morning, where he met with personnel from the Indian armed forces and offered his respects to their bravery, stating he had come to witness the "darshan of the heroes" who valiantly protect the nation.

Addressing the soldiers amidst chants of 'Bharat Mata ki Jai', PM Modi remarked, "This slogan is not merely a declaration but a commitment of every soldier ready to sacrifice his life for Maa Bharti. It reflects the sentiments of every citizen desiring to serve the country. This voice echoes in both battle and mission."

He continued, "When our forces eliminate the threat of nuclear blackmail, only one sentiment resonates from India -- Bharat Mata ki Jai. You have made every Indian proud; you have forged history. I have come early this morning to experience your 'darshan'. When the feet of heroes touch the earth, that ground is sanctified. Having the chance to witness these heroes blesses our lives, and that is why I am here today."

PM Modi expressed gratitude towards the Indian Army, Air Force, Navy, and Border Security Force members for their bravery.

Commending the accuracy of Indian operations, he stated, "I can proudly assert that all of you hit your targets flawlessly. In Pakistan, not only were terrorist camps and their air bases obliterated, but their malicious designs and audacity were also thwarted."

This visit follows a recent agreement on a ceasefire between India and Pakistan, after the execution of 'Operation Sindoor', a significant military operation targeting key terror hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

The operation is regarded as a pivotal moment in India's counter-terrorism strategy.

During his engagement with the troops, the Prime Minister praised their valor and professionalism.

Soldiers stationed at the airbase described the visit as a major morale booster, noting that the Prime Minister's presence and words elevated their spirits. Many were seen smiling in their combat attire, reflecting their readiness and pride.

Sharing his experience on social media, PM Modi stated, "Earlier this morning, I visited AFS Adampur and met our valiant air warriors and soldiers. It was an incredibly special moment to be among those who embody courage, determination, and fearlessness. India remains eternally grateful to our armed forces for their contributions to our nation."

The Adampur Airbase was one of the locations targeted by Pakistani attacks on the night of May 9-10.

Pakistani drones and missiles, launched in retaliation following Operation Sindoor, were effectively intercepted and neutralized by India's air defense systems, demonstrating the operational readiness and efficiency of the Indian forces.

This visit also follows PM Modi's recent national address, where he commended the armed forces, intelligence agencies, and scientists for their successful execution of Operation Sindoor.

He emphasized that the mission was dedicated to the spirit of the nation, particularly to the dignity and safety of Indian women, which were central to the operation's objectives.

Reiterating India's unwavering stance against terrorism, PM Modi characterized Operation Sindoor as the commencement of a new chapter in the nation's counter-terrorism strategy -- one that is relentless, precise, and unwavering.

He underscored that India had carried out highly targeted strikes against terrorist hideouts in Pakistan to safeguard its citizens and uphold national values.
