As per a statement from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), the Rozgar Mela will take place at 47 locations nationwide and underscores the government's dedication to prioritizing employment generation.
This extensive initiative seeks to provide significant opportunities for youth empowerment, enabling them to make substantial contributions to the nation's development.
The new recruits, chosen from diverse regions in India, will join central government ministries and departments, including the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Personnel and Public Grievances and Pensions, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Posts, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Railways, and the Ministry of Labour and Employment, among others.
Since the inception of the Rozgar Mela in October 2022, the government has facilitated over 10 lakh permanent government jobs. During the previous 14th Rozgar Mela held in December, PM Modi noted that 71,000 job offers were made.
At that event, he emphasized that these job fairs are integral to the government's overarching vision to ensure employment is offered with complete transparency and accountability.
Rozgar Mela, which commenced on October 22, 2022 with the distribution of 75,000 appointment letters in its inaugural edition, represents a significant stride in the government's mission to create substantial employment opportunities for the youth. The recruitment drive for 10 lakh personnel was initiated to promote job creation and connect job seekers with various government sectors.
This initiative is regarded as a critical step not only in reducing unemployment but also in empowering young individuals to actively engage in India's growth narrative.
In the most recent edition, PM Modi also mentioned that India has entered into migration and employment agreements with 21 countries in recent years, including nations such as Japan, Australia, France, Germany, Israel, Mauritius, the United Kingdom, and Italy, along with several Gulf countries.
