New Delhi, March 1 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a three-day journey to Gujarat starting Saturday, following the BJP's significant triumph in the local body elections across the state.
On Saturday night, PM Modi will touch down in Jamnagar and is slated to engage in numerous crucial meetings and activities during his stay.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister will chair a session of the Shree Somnath Trust. The Somnath temple is of great spiritual relevance, and as a trustee, PM Modi routinely attends the trust's gatherings.
On the second day of his visit, the Prime Minister will tour Vantara, a cutting-edge animal rescue, conservation, and rehabilitation facility in Jamnagar.
Covering nearly 3,000 acres, Vantara acts as a sanctuary for rescued wildlife and at-risk species. PM Modi is anticipated to enjoy a jungle safari at this centre.
A significant aspect of the tour includes chairing a meeting of the National Board for Wildlife (NBWL) in the Junagadh district, where various wildlife-related topics will be discussed.
As the ex-officio chairman of the NBWL, PM Modi will lead the gathering of the Board, which consists of 47 members, including the Chief of Army Staff, delegates from various states, wildlife NGOs, chief wildlife wardens, and state secretaries.
The Board is instrumental in advising the government on wildlife conservation strategies and safeguarding national parks and sanctuaries.
After the NBWL meeting, PM Modi will interact with women forest staff at Sasan, acknowledging their essential roles in wildlife conservation.
Later, he will pay a visit to the historic Somnath temple in the Gir Somnath district to offer his prayers. This temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, holds great religious and cultural importance.
Concluding his temple visit, the Prime Minister will head to Rajkot airport and return to Delhi, marking the end of his three-day Gujarat tour.
