He described Yoga as India's invaluable gift to the world and noted that numerous nations are now engaging in Yoga initiatives.
According to him, Yoga is inclusive and extends beyond a select few individuals or geographical areas.
The Chief Minister made these remarks while addressing the press after inaugurating 'Yogandhra 2025', a month-long state-wide Yoga initiative.
This campaign is set to culminate in the celebration of the 11th International Yoga Day in Visakhapatnam on June 21, where Prime Minister Modi is expected to be present.
During the launch, CM Naidu also unveiled the 'Yogandhra' website and emphasized the importance of integrating Yoga into daily life.
He urged individuals to practice Yoga as a means to alleviate stress.
The Chief Minister remarked that Yoga should not be viewed as a mere one-day event for photographs.
"This initiative aims to foster significant changes in everyone. We must promote Yoga so it becomes an integral part of our lifestyle," he stated.
CM Naidu expressed the goal of having at least two crore participants in 'Yogandhra', with a target of awarding certificates to 10 lakh individuals.
He announced that daily Yoga sessions will be conducted in schools throughout the state.
On June 21, approximately 5 lakh individuals are expected to participate in the International Yoga Day celebrations in Visakhapatnam, stretching from RK Beach to Bhogapuram.
Previously, the state government indicated its intention to establish a new Guinness World Record for the largest assembly of participants in a single Yoga session, aiming for around 2.5 lakh attendees in Visakhapatnam.
In 2023, Surat set a record with 1.53 lakh participants at one venue. The Andhra Pradesh government now plans to exceed that milestone with the upcoming event in Visakhapatnam.
