Many families, who previously faced issues like leaking roofs and water infiltration during the rainy season, are now enjoying a comfortable existence in their own pucca houses.
These families are expressing their gratitude towards the Modi government for this transformative initiative.
Through the PMAY scheme, underprivileged families receive a financial aid of Rs 2.5 lakh, enabling them to construct permanent homes and live with dignity.
Beneficiaries from Vidisha district shared their uplifting experiences with IANS. Anguri Bai Jain remarked, “Our kutcha house used to flood during rains, making it impossible to sleep. Thanks to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, we now have a permanent house, which has brought us immense relief. I sincerely thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
Padmachandra Jain added, “As laborers, owning a house was merely a dream. This scheme is a blessing for the poor. Now, we have a concrete roof over our heads, allowing us to sleep peacefully.”
Ghasiram Sen, a barber, mentioned, “I never imagined I would own a permanent house. But with the support of Modi ji's scheme, I now have my own home.”
Vineet Bai shared, “Previously, we lived in a tin shed, but now we have a proper roof. Our children can study without worry. We could never afford such a home, but our dream has finally materialized.”
Rani expressed, “Our kutcha house caused us great discomfort during summers and rains. Now, we are incredibly relieved with our new pucca house.”
