Navy Day is celebrated each year on December 4 to honor the Indian Navy’s accomplishments and its vital role in ensuring national security. They protect our shores and maintain our maritime interests. Recently, our Navy has prioritized self-reliance and modernization, bolstering our security framework.”

PM Modi recalled fond memories of celebrating this year's Diwali with naval personnel onboard the indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant.

“I wish the Indian Navy the very best in their future endeavors,” he added.

In a video message, the Prime Minister emphasized the Navy’s essential role in safeguarding the nation’s maritime boundaries and economic lifelines.
