YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) State Coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy on Monday, 10 August accused the Chandrababu Naidu-led Andhra Pradesh government of attempting to suppress irregularities in the Mega DSC–2025 teacher recruitment examination by deflecting legitimate questions and deploying police force against students, unemployed youth, and Opposition members. The allegations were made from Amaravati and mark a sharp escalation in YSRCP's sustained campaign over the recruitment controversy.

How the Movement Began

Sajjala maintained that affected candidates themselves first flagged the irregularities, approached courts, and placed evidence on record — only after which YSRCP formally joined the agitation. He argued that the response to nearly 10 programmes organised over the past 70–75 days reflects genuine public concern rather than political orchestration.

Key Irregularities Cited

The YSRCP coordinator raised a series of pointed questions about the conduct of the examination. He questioned why question-paper preparation and examination management were concentrated entirely under the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), and why confidential digital functions were handled by outsourced personnel.

Sajjala specifically flagged the case of SCERT outsourcing employee Purama Naveen, who reportedly secured first rank in one category and sixth rank in another, before being removed from the merit list. He also demanded clarity on candidates called in a 1:1 ratio who cleared certificate verification but were denied appointments, and on the failure to publish transparent merit-cum-roster lists.

On the Sports Quota, he alleged a broader pattern: the government reportedly removed the written-test requirement through special Government Orders (GOs), filled teacher posts without DSC examinations, and then restored the examination requirement immediately after recruitment concluded. He further alleged mismatched and altered sports certificates, documents belonging to different persons being used together, website tampering after discrepancies were exposed, and recorded negotiations involving money for teacher posts — all of which, he said, warrant an independent probe.

Police Repression Alleged

Sajjala accused the government of projecting that 'everything was fine' while using selected appointees to counter those demanding an inquiry. He alleged that peaceful relay hunger strikes, rallies, and protest programmes were being obstructed through notices, house arrests, false cases, and arrests. Police were being used 'like a hired force' to protect the ruling party, he said, citing specific restrictions in Kuppam, Pulivendula, Tadipatri, and other constituencies.

YSRCP's Four Demands

The party has laid out four non-negotiable conditions for ending the agitation: the resignation of Education Minister Nara Lokesh; a CBI investigation into Mega DSC–2025; clearance of pending Fee Reimbursement and Vasathi Deevena dues; and implementation of the promised ₹3,000 monthly unemployment allowance.

'Denials, counter-attacks, fake propaganda, police cases and arrests cannot erase the evidence. We will expose the DSC irregularities completely and continue the struggle until students and unemployed youth receive justice,' Sajjala said.

With the agitation entering its third month and legal proceedings already under way, pressure on the Naidu government over Mega DSC–2025 is unlikely to ease in the near term.
