Prashant Kishor Released from Hospital

Patna, Jan 11 (NationPress) The founder of the Jan Suraaj Party, Prashant Kishor, was released from Jaiprabha Medanta Hospital on Saturday following a significant improvement in his health. He had been admitted on January 7 after his condition worsened due to a hunger strike that commenced on January 2. Notably, he maintained his hunger strike even during his hospitalization.

Upon his discharge, a spokesperson from his party announced that the subsequent phase of the Satyagraha would be disclosed on Sunday.

Earlier that day, a seven-member delegation from the Jan Suraj Party, headed by the party’s working president Manoj Bharti, visited Raj Bhavan to meet with the Governor. The delegation consisted of Manoj Bharti, Kishore Kumar, Sarwar Ali, Sitaram Yadav, Lalan Yadav, N.P. Mandal, and Arvind Singh.

After their meeting, Manoj Bharti spoke to the media and provided insights into their discussion with the Governor.

He remarked: "We briefed him about all facets of the students' movement. He paid close attention and meticulously reviewed our memorandum. The Governor's first inquiry was about Prashant Kishor’s health. We informed him that Prashant's fast is still in effect. He was released from the hospital after his condition improved."

Manoj Bharti further noted that the Governor recognized the validity of their and the students' demands, indicating that a meeting between the student delegation and the Chief Minister could be organized.

However, expressing concern regarding Prashant Kishor’s health, the Governor urged him to conclude his fast.

The controversy surrounding the BPSC exam emerged on December 13, when candidates at the Bapu Examination Centre boycotted the BPSC Preliminary Test due to delays in the distribution of question papers. Videos showcasing mobile phone usage and inadequate security during the exam further fueled the protests.

The BPSC subsequently canceled the examination at the Bapu Centre, rescheduling it for January 4, which was conducted successfully. Nevertheless, candidates demanded a complete cancellation of the exam and continue their protest at Gardanibagh.
