New Delhi, Dec 14 (NationPress) President Droupadi Murmu called for active public involvement in energy conservation, commending the government's green initiatives and noting that India has met its clean energy targets ahead of schedule. At an event celebrating National Energy Conservation Day, she urged citizens to adopt energy-saving practices to secure a safe, clean, and prosperous world for future generations.

“For the success of India's Energy Transition, it is crucial for every sector and individual to contribute. Achieving energy efficiency across all areas requires significant behavioral changes,” she stated.
During the event, President Murmu awarded the National Energy Conservation Awards 2025 to various institutions and recognized winners of the National Painting Competition on Energy Conservation for school children.
