President Murmu Awards Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar to 17 Exceptional Youngsters

New Delhi, Dec 26 (NationPress) President Droupadi Murmu, on Thursday, awarded the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar to 17 remarkable children for their extraordinary achievements at a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
This prestigious award recognizes children aged 5-18 years who have demonstrated exceptional talent and outstanding accomplishments across seven categories: Bravery, Art & Culture, Environment, Innovation, Science & Technology, Social Service, and Sports, all deserving of national acknowledgment.
This year, 17 children (7 boys and 10 girls) from 14 states and union territories were honored with the award.
Each recipient of the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar receives a medal, certificate, and a citation booklet.
During the event, President Murmu expressed her congratulations to all the awardees, stating that the entire nation takes pride in their achievements.
She remarked that these children have performed extraordinary work, reached remarkable milestones, and possess limitless potential and unmatched qualities. They serve as an inspiration for other children across the country, she noted.
President Murmu emphasized that recognizing children's talents and providing opportunities has been a fundamental part of our culture, urging that this tradition be further strengthened.
"By the year 2047, when our nation marks the centenary of India’s independence, these award recipients will become enlightened citizens and contribute to a developed India," the President stated.
Encouraging the children to embrace a sense of patriotism, President Murmu said, "The spirit of patriotism inspires both children and adults to dedicate themselves to the nation's welfare."
The Union Ministry of Women & Child Development organizes the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar annually to honor the energy, determination, talent, enthusiasm, and zeal of young children. Eligible candidates must be Indian citizens residing in India and under the age of 18 as of the application deadline.
