New Delhi, Nov 26 (NationPress) President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday paid heartfelt homage to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives to defend the populace during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, emphasizing that the nation will eternally honor their ultimate sacrifice.
The 26/11 attacks, often referred to as the 2008 Mumbai attacks, comprised a sequence of 12 coordinated terrorist assaults that occurred from November 26 to 29, executed by 10 operatives of Lashkar-e-Taiba, a terrorist organization based in Pakistan.
In total, 175 individuals lost their lives, inclusive of nine out of the ten attackers, along with 26 foreign nationals and 20 security personnel. One attacker, Ajmal Kasab, was apprehended alive and subsequently executed.
