Probationary IPS Officer Tragically Loses Life in Road Mishap in Karnataka

Hassan (Karnataka), Dec 2 (NationPress) In a heartbreaking event, a probationary IPS officer lost his life in a road mishap in Karnataka's Hassan district on Sunday, according to police reports.
The officer who passed away has been identified as Harsh Vardhan.
As per police statements, Harsh Vardhan had recently completed his training and was prepared to assume the role of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) on Monday in Hassan city.
He was en route to Hassan to report for his police duties.
The initial investigations indicated that during his journey, the tyres of the official vehicle from the District Armed Reserve burst, causing the car to overturn and roll.
The police officer sustained critical injuries to his head and unfortunately succumbed to these injuries.
The driver, Manje Gowda, also incurred injuries in the incident.
The vehicle was traveling from Holenarasipura town to Hassan city when the incident occurred.
The tyre of the officer's vehicle exploded at Kittanegadi village, located close to Hassan city.
Despite locals rushing the officer to the hospital in an ambulance, he could not survive his injuries.
Harsh Vardhan had completed his training at the Karnataka Police Academy in Mysuru.
He had reported to the Inspector General of Police (Central Range) Boralingaiah and was heading to Hassan.
Although Harsh Vardhan's family hailed from Bihar, they were residing in the Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh.
He held an engineering degree and was a member of the 2022-23 Karnataka cadre IPS officer batch.
He achieved a 153rd rank in the UPSC examination and cleared the Civil Services exam in his first attempt.
The Hassan Superintendent of Police, Mohammed Sujeetha, and Assistant Superintendent of Police, Venkatesh Naidu, visited the hospital.
Boralingaiah IGP also paid his respects to Harsh Vardhan's body and gathered details about the incident.
