Governor Kataria, leading the initiative, urged all societal segments to collaborate in the fight against drugs.
He remarked that substance abuse not only devastates individuals but also inflicts severe harm on society, emphasizing that only united and sustained efforts can eradicate this social menace entirely.
Speaking to a large audience at the School of Eminence post-walk, the Governor stressed the necessity of rendering educational institutions drug-free as a priority.
He asserted that the state's future hinges on guiding its youth in the right direction.
While mentioning the state government's phased anti-drug campaign, Governor Kataria pointed out that its success relies on the active involvement of educational institutions, religious groups, social organizations, political parties, panchayats, and the general public.

Mentioning cross-border threats, Governor Kataria indicated that the neighboring hostile nation is attempting to undermine Punjab's youth by smuggling drugs via drones.
