Ludhiana, April 2 (NationPress) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday urged the youth to join a determined battle against the drug crisis until Punjab becomes completely free of drugs.
Speaking to the crowd before initiating the awareness march against drugs, Kejriwal emphasized that the youth play a crucial role in eradicating the drug problem from the state.
“If this affliction is not eliminated, it will morph into a significant evil and cause extensive harm to the state and its future generations,” he stated.
Kejriwal encouraged the youth to reject drugs, noting that this issue would destroy their lives and those of their families, while alleging that past administrations had supported drug syndicates in the state, with even their top leaders being complicit.
He asserted that for the sake of acquiring illegal wealth, these avaricious leaders had fostered the drug issue in the state, thus jeopardizing “our generations.”
Kejriwal proclaimed that both God and the people of the state would never pardon these political figures for their transgressions, and they would face retribution for their misdeeds.
The former Delhi Chief Minister further claimed that the government has achieved remarkable progress in the past 30 days, asserting that even the grand mansions constructed from drug profits accumulated by these smugglers are being dismantled.
He announced that none of the drug traffickers would evade justice and would be incarcerated, stating that the strictest actions would be enforced against them.
Kejriwal noted that security agencies are commendably combating drug dealers by apprehending them and disrupting the drug supply chain.
He stated that properties belonging to drug dealers are being seized or demolished to ensure that those engaged in this horrific crime receive severe penalties.
Kejriwal confirmed that the government has embraced a zero-tolerance policy towards drugs and has launched a vigorous campaign against this issue.
“If any friend or family member of the youth is involved with drugs, it should be reported to the authorities for prompt intervention,” he advised.
