Chandigarh, April 21 (NationPress) The Punjab Police have apprehended two individuals in relation to leaked WhatsApp discussions involving the leader of the Waris Punjab De party and Khadoor Sahib Member of Parliament Amritpal Singh, who were allegedly plotting the "execution" of various politicians, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP MP Ravneet Singh Bittu, and Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia.

The leaked conversations have emerged on social media, causing concern among both state and central security agencies.

Earlier today, Akali Dal leader Majithia called for the arrest of all individuals involved in the WhatsApp group, including Amritpal Singh, who is labeled by the government as a Khalistani-Pakistan agent and is currently incarcerated in Dibrugarh jail in Assam under the stringent National Security Act (NSA).

Majithia released audio recordings of the MP in which he acknowledged his connections with gangsters and admitted to participating in dacoities, demanding a National Investigation Agency (NIA) investigation into the matter.

He also announced intentions to submit all evidence he possesses to the Centre, as he believes the Punjab Police have become politicized and cannot be trusted to conduct a thorough investigation.

Meanwhile, the Cyber Crime Police Station in Moga has filed a first information report under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), and the Information Technology Act.

The individuals arrested have been identified as Balkar Singh and Pawandeep Singh, while a third suspect, Lakhdeep Singh Sardargarh, remains at large. They face charges of inciting unrest by opposing the extension of Singh’s detention under the National Security Act (NSA).

Majithia created a stir by disclosing audio recordings where jailed Amritpal Singh discussed his direct connections with gangster Jaipal Bhullar and detailed his involvement in a multi-crore dacoity orchestrated by Bhullar.

In the audio, Amritpal Singh, who surrendered after evading Punjab Police for 37 days in April 2023, can be heard claiming knowledge of the location where the gold stolen by Bhullar is being kept.

In another conversation, he also admits awareness of his brother Harpreet's drug addiction and discusses how he could rob a cash vehicle, revealing ownership of two flats in Delhi and knowledge of where Rs 22 crore looted by Bhullar is stored.

He mentioned that gangsters Arsh Dalla, Happy Passia, and Harwinder Rinda were closely associated with Amritpal Singh, who purportedly continues to use a phone from within Dibrugarh jail.

Majithia also disclosed details of the WhatsApp conversations from the Akali Dal Waris Punjab De team Moga page, wherein members expressed their willingness to become martyrs and inquired whether their families would be cared for if they engaged in political assassinations of leaders such as Ravneet Bittu, Bikram Singh Majithia, and Amit Shah.

He even released an audio clip featuring a woman inciting group members to act as suicide bombers.
