Chandigarh, April 20 (NationPress) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini remarked on Sunday that in the last decade, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has significantly enhanced India's reputation worldwide, granting the nation a renewed identity.
“Thanks to his leadership, both the country and Haryana are advancing consistently. Punjab, which has historically placed its faith in various political parties yet faced disappointments, now seeks PM Modi's guidance for the state's growth and prosperity,” he stated.
The Chief Minister made these comments during a felicitation event in Zirakpur, Punjab, where he was honored by leaders from several Punjab-based organizations for his effective governance.
In his speech, the Chief Minister noted that every time he engages with Punjab's youth, he notices a palpable enthusiasm and a willingness to align with Prime Minister Modi's vision. “The youth and agrarians of Punjab are keen to stand alongside the Prime Minister and progress towards a brighter future,” he asserted.
Reflecting on Haryana's development, CM Saini stated that since the BJP government took charge in the state in 2014, the populace has consistently shown their trust and backing.
He recounted that upon taking his oath as Chief Minister on March 12, 2024, he pledged to provide 25,000 government jobs. Although the implementation faced delays due to the Model Code of Conduct being enforced just 56 days later, he managed to fulfill this promise by issuing appointments prior to his official swearing-in.
The Chief Minister emphasized that under PM Modi's guidance, all governmental policies prioritize public welfare. “In Haryana, all crops are being procured at minimum support price (MSP), and I had encouraged the Chief Minister of Punjab to adopt this approach. Unfortunately, the suggestion was not embraced,” he noted.
“Once the BJP establishes government in Punjab, we will ensure MSP procurement for farmers there as well. Just like in Haryana, we will maintain the dignity of Punjab's farmers,” CM Saini concluded.
