New Delhi, Oct 18 (NationPress) The Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, sent heartfelt greetings to the citizens of India in celebration of Dhanteras this Saturday.
On the social media platform X, he expressed, “Warm wishes of Dhanteras to all my fellow countrymen. May this health and wealth festival usher in happiness, good fortune, and prosperity into your lives.”
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also conveyed his wishes for Dhanteras, praying for the well-being and prosperity of the nation.
Dhanatrayodashi, commonly referred to as Dhanteras, signifies the commencement of the Diwali festival in Hindu culture.
This festival, known as Lakshmi Puja, is celebrated in the evenings with the lighting of diyas (clay lamps). Devotional songs, or bhajans, honor Goddess Lakshmi, accompanied by offerings of traditional sweets.
