New Delhi, Oct 18 (NationPress) The IndiaAI Mission, in partnership with the World Health Organization (WHO), has recently launched a worldwide initiative calling for abstracts that showcase significant and scalable applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within health systems.
Researchers, innovators, and institutions from the Global South are encouraged to submit abstracts (maximum of 250 words) that outline successful and scalable AI health use cases by the deadline of October 31.
Selected entries will be invited to contribute a chapter to the ‘Casebook on AI Health Use Cases Across the Global South’, which is expected to debut at the India–AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi this upcoming February, as per the IT Ministry.
This casebook, developed collaboratively by IndiaAI and WHO, will function as a detailed reference for policymakers, innovators, and researchers aiming to replicate and scale successful AI solutions throughout the Global South.
By documenting real-life experiences and lessons, the Casebook aspires to bolster responsible adoption of AI and expedite digital transformation in healthcare systems.
Contributors who are shortlisted, based on relevance, quality, and alignment with the Casebook’s objectives, will be invited to submit full chapters (2,500–3,000 words) that elaborate on the AI solution, deployment strategies, ethical considerations, impact achieved, and lessons learned.
Previously, the government also revealed the selection of five projects from the second phase of its expression of interest for the 'Safe and Trusted AI' initiative under the program introduced by IndiaAI.
The chosen projects will enhance real-time deepfake detection, improve forensic analysis, tackle bias in AI models, and develop robust evaluation tools for generative AI, ensuring that AI systems implemented in India are dependable, secure, and inclusive, according to an official statement.
In unison, these projects put “Safe and Trusted AI” into action, merging resilience testing and bias audits to promote the responsible growth and deployment of AI.
