Bhopal, Nov 8 (NationPress) On Saturday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi energized the party's leadership and grassroots volunteers in Madhya Pradesh, encouraging them to enhance the organizational framework in preparation for the 2028 state assembly elections and 2029 general elections.

His visit included a fierce critique of the BJP-led administrations at both the Centre and state levels regarding their alleged disregard for school-children's welfare.

Speaking at a high-level training session for district presidents during the party's 'Sangthan Srijan Abhiyan' in the picturesque hill town of Pachmarhi — attended by prominent Congress leaders such as former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh, tribal leader Kantilal Bhuria, Umang Singhar, Jeetu Patwari, Kamleshwar Patel, Arun Yadav, Ajay Singh, and Dr. Govind Singh — Rahul Gandhi urged district leaders to strengthen the party's grassroots network and elevate farmers' issues throughout rural constituencies.

Digvijay Singh introduced a comprehensive three-year strategic plan aimed at revitalizing the party's campaign operations and re-engaging with voters in the state's rural areas.

The party leader stressed the importance of teamwork and collaboration within the party, notably addressing workers seated on the floor, highlighting his inclusive approach.

In a personal outreach effort, Rahul Gandhi engaged in extensive discussions with district Congress presidents regarding organizational matters and later shared dinner with their families, fostering a sense of camaraderie within the cadre.

The tone of his visit shifted dramatically through a video message shared on his X account, where he criticized the BJP governments for the unacceptable state of mid-day meals provided in a government school in Sheopur district.

Viral images depicted children consuming meals served on discarded newspapers, igniting widespread outrage.

"After two decades of BJP rule, children lack even plates for their mid-day meals," Rahul Gandhi remarked, labeling it a "shameful" reflection on both Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"These are the very innocent children whose futures the country relies upon, yet they don’t even receive a plate of respect. Over 20 years of BJP governance, and even the children’s plates have been stolen — their 'development' is merely an illusion," he stated in a scathing post.

Rahul Gandhi plans to remain overnight in Pachmarhi and will travel to Bhopal by helicopter on Sunday for additional engagements.

According to party sources, Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge is expected to join the discussions, underscoring Madhya Pradesh's crucial role as a battleground as the national elections approach.

With Congress seeking to regain lost ground in the Hindi heartland, Rahul Gandhi's visit marks a bold revival strategy, combining organizational renewal with pointed critiques of the ruling BJP’s governance failures.
