Jaipur, April 26 (NationPress) Inspector General (IG) of Rajasthan Frontier BSF, M.L. “Our borders are completely secure, and any act of terrorism will be met with a strong response. Citizens should not panic but must be vigilant at all times. Security protocols have been enhanced due to the volatile situation across the border,” stated the IG BSF during a media briefing in Bikaner.

In his appeal to the public, IG Garg warned against falling victim to misinformation propagated through social media and other platforms.

“All security agencies are on high alert and coordinating closely at every level. There is no cause for panic, but utmost vigilance is crucial,” he reiterated.

Pointing out the effective surveillance measures in place, IG Garg revealed that every part of the border is being monitored meticulously with advanced drone technology.

“We are utilizing UAVs extensively for real-time surveillance and rapid responses,” he remarked.

He noted that due to extreme heat conditions, the BSF has established cool rooms at all Border Outposts (BOPs) to protect personnel from heat-related ailments.

“Nursing assistants are on-site to provide immediate medical assistance to jawans as the current border temperature has reached 44°C and is projected to escalate to 56°C. Ensuring the health of our personnel is our top priority,” stated IG BSF.

Elaborating on BSF’s role beyond border security, IG Garg expressed that the force is also engaged in the development of border villages.

“Our goal is to make border villages thriving and beautiful. We are actively collaborating with villagers to enhance road connectivity, improve power supply, and create local job opportunities,” he added.

Furthermore, he mentioned that smart fencing initiatives have begun from the Sri Ganganagar sector and will soon cover the entire Rajasthan border.

“This will substantially aid in preventing infiltration and smuggling activities,” he concluded.

IG Garg visited the Bikaner Sector Headquarters to conduct a comprehensive review of the security situation in border areas.

He also led a detailed security coordination meeting with Superintendent of Police (SP) Kavendra Sagar, Commandant N.M. Sharma, Deputy Commandant General (DCG) Mahesh Chandra Jat, and officers from intelligence agencies.

DIG Intelligence Vidur Bhardwaj accompanied IG Garg during the visit.

Previously, IG Garg assessed security arrangements in the border districts of Jaisalmer and Barmer.
