Jaipur, Feb 19 (NationPress) Finance Minister Diya Kumari is set to unveil the Rajasthan Budget for the fiscal year 2025-26 on Wednesday within the state Assembly. This year's budget is anticipated to place a strong emphasis on infrastructure enhancement and economic resilience rather than populist initiatives, with a particular focus on youth-oriented programs and policies.
This marks Diya Kumari's second consecutive budget presentation following the establishment of the Bhajan Lal Sharma-led BJP government in December 2023.
The final draft was completed on Tuesday during a meeting held at the state secretariat, where she endorsed the official copy, concluding a thorough preparation phase. Attendees included Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) Akhil Arora, Principal Secretary (Budget) Debashish Prishti, Secretary (Expenditure) Naveen Jain, Secretary (Revenue) Kumarpal Gautam, and Director (Budget) Brijesh Kishore Sharma.
The BJP chief of Rajasthan, Madan Rathore, expressed that the budget will resonate with public expectations. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, insights from diverse sectors of society have been integrated. Rathore highlighted that Sharma, who emerged from modest beginnings and has traveled extensively across the state, possesses a profound understanding of critical developmental necessities.
In a related note, Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani conveyed optimism that the second phase of the budget session, commencing on Wednesday with the budget presentation, will unfold without issues.

The initial phase of the session (January 31 - February 7) encountered disturbances owing to protests, shouting slogans, and sudden adjournments initiated by the opposition.
To ensure a more orderly session this time, Speaker Devnani convened an all-party meeting in his Assembly chamber on Monday.
The purpose of the meeting was to address recent disruptions and secure the seamless operation of the House.
Devnani called upon all members to avert similar situations in the future, mentioning that a consensus had been reached among the parties to guarantee the smooth functioning of the Rajasthan Assembly. He emphasized that the Opposition should articulate their concerns with dignity, while the state government must provide appropriate responses.
