Jaipur, June 3 (NationPress) Rajasthan's Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma announced that the 2025–26 Budget incorporates all essential provisions aimed at propelling the vision of a Developed Rajasthan.
He stated that the budget is centered on the welfare of 8 crore residents and the holistic development of all 200 Assembly constituencies, with a goal of transforming Rajasthan into a $350 billion economy.
During a review meeting held at his residence on Tuesday, the Chief Minister highlighted the need for a phased and comprehensive execution of all budget announcements.
He instructed every department to devise action plans with specific timelines to guarantee that foundation stones and inaugurations occur within the government’s term.
Additionally, he mandated stringent measures against any form of negligence and asserted that progress would be regularly monitored to ensure that public welfare initiatives reach even the most disadvantaged citizens.
The Chief Minister underscored that quality should never be compromised at any stage of development.
Departments were urged to collaborate on the installation of electricity, water, sewerage, and road lines to avoid public disruptions. He also expedited the allotment of land for new Grid Sub-Stations (GSS).
Reaffirming his dedication to uplift the underprivileged, Sharma noted that the state government is operating under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to enhance the living conditions of farmers, youth, women, and the impoverished.
Through the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Poverty-Free Gaon Yojana, 5,000 BPL families are being targeted in the initial phase. He instructed that these families must receive support through both central and state schemes to elevate them out of poverty.
Moreover, he called for skill development training for the youth and the economic empowerment of women via Rajeevika.
The Chief Minister specified that 16 cities have been selected for development as Clean and Green Cities, modeled after the Centre’s Smart City Mission.
He mandated the prompt establishment of waste processing plants and FSTPs in 65 newly formed municipal bodies. Highlighting Rajasthan's extensive tourism potential, Sharma emphasized the necessity of enhancing air transport services.
He proposed the introduction of helicopter services linking religious and tourist sites through heliports across the state. These services would improve tourist convenience and generate additional income.
