Jaipur, April 2 (NationPress) Rajasthan's Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma presided over a significant meeting at his official residence to assess the progress of the ‘My Bharat Digital Platform’, underlining the essential involvement of youth in realizing the objective of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India).​

The Chief Minister remarked that the platform is becoming a vital means of connecting young individuals with nation-building efforts, highlighting that more than 1.7 million youth in Rajasthan have already signed up. ​

He instructed officials to expedite activities related to this initiative and to promote broader participation throughout the state.

Sharma pointed out that the platform can effectively connect youth to opportunities in skill development and employment across various sectors, including tourism, solar energy, and petrochemicals. ​

He also emphasized the importance of launching de-addiction and rehabilitation campaigns to combat substance abuse among the youth.

In a call for grassroots engagement, he directed officials to advance campaigns like ‘Fit Rajasthan, Hit Rajasthan’ in both rural and urban areas, focusing on fitness, social awareness, and community involvement. ​

The Chief Minister mentioned that the Rajasthan Youth Policy 2026 is designed for comprehensive youth development. ​

He underscored various initiatives such as interest-free loans for entrepreneurship, alongside programs like the Chief Minister Youth Self-Employment Scheme, Vishwakarma Youth Entrepreneurship Promotion Scheme, Ma Voucher Scheme, and Gopal Credit Card Scheme, all aimed at economically empowering youth and women. ​

Regarding government recruitment, Sharma noted that exams are now conducted in a transparent and timely manner, contrasting past issues like paper leaks. ​

He reiterated the government's goal of creating 4 lakh jobs over five years, stating that 1.25 lakh appointments have already been made, and a recruitment calendar for over 1 lakh posts has been published. ​

Officials indicated that the ‘My Bharat’ platform is facilitating direct engagement through initiatives such as Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, Yuva Connect, Pad Yatras, Drug-Free Youth campaigns, Young Professionals Roundtables, and Budget Quest. The Chief Minister also engaged with young leaders during the meeting. Chief Secretary V. Srinivas and other senior officials from both the Centre and the state were present.
